1977 Morgan 4/4
Joe Phillips has owned his Morgan for 21 years and started using it for sprinting and hill climbing about six years ago. His results have benefited from our experience with the build of a 1620 Ford Crossflow engine - keeping it as close to the Ford 1600 GT spec as possible so that the car can be used as both road and competiton car.

We have fitted 'total seal' rings to reduce the loss of compression and completed a full rebuild and balance. The engine is run on a single DGAV carburettor and has a standard head and valves. Joe recently won the Morgan Sports Car Club's 'Parc Ferme' Curborough Sprint Trophy as well as a class win at Prescott with a time of 57.43 seconds.
